So apparently I don't qualify for FEMA aid because....wait for it.....I have homeowner's insurance.

Yeah so, since I have INSURANCE I won't be receiving any help to pay for:

-$2,200 it cost to remove the trees from my carport and patio
-$8,300 is is going to cost to get my carport and patio covers replaced
-Who knows how much we'll have to pay to fix the fence that got demolished, the damage to the roof on the garage and the shingle damage on the main house.
-Oh yeah, and the smashed window/dented door on William's truck (I'm not even going to claim my car because the damage isn't bad enough to worry about the insurance deductible).

I am still waiting to hear back from the insurance people. Once the adjuster comes out I'll know for sure what our HOMEOWNER'S insurance will cover. I just hope it covers most of this damage, because I DO NOT have this kind of money.

Sorry for the whinging, but I needed to get that off my chest. UGHHHHHH stupid stupid Hurricane Ike.

UGH FAIL FEMA. FEMA already scares me from how it was depicted in Jericho :( :(

I'm so sorry honey. I hope that the insurance covers most if not all of the damage, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. ♥ ily.
