Now it's just below my ears and some of it might be a tinge blue. Maybe. Heh.
Mom and I are going to the mall in the morning to try and finish up Christmas shopping. I have so much to get. It's sad, really. We do the Chinese gift exchange thing on both sides of my family, so I need to get gifts for those. I mostly have Spencer's presents taken care of, but I have NO IDEA what to get William. I'm thinking he would like a new mp3 player. Yeah.
I'm so worn out all the time guys. This isn't me complaining, this is the TRUE FACTS of my life. I wish my little knucklehead slept better at night. The lack of sleep makes him cranky. And I'm so easygoing you'd never know I was missing out on quality consecutive hours of sleep, except for the fact that I'm not as productive as I used to be and if you look closely I wear some pretty serious constant dark circles under my eyes. Eh, I'll live. I just wish I had more energy is all. The energetic facade I put up for everyone is such a blatant farce. But you'll only ever see happy Shonna, because that's how I roll. XD
I would be totally happy in my life if I just raised the baby and went to shows. I mean that.
Why can't I be an independently wealthy concert-going mama? I could take Spencer, is nanny (haha, yeah right) and myself around the country and visit y'all while I attend every concert that tickles my fancy. My fancy gets tickled quite a bit more often than is normal and/or healthy, I'm sure.
Before I hit the sack, I'll rec a band, because I never do that. It's strange that I don't, considering how much I enjoy new/unsigned/unknown/local type bands. These guys are straight outta Chicago. The White Tie Affair. I saw them perform and met them for the first time last weekend. Their sound reminds me of a cross between Timberlake and Maroon 5. They have amazing stage energy and they won the crowd over INSTANTLY. So danceable. So much fun! This is my new shower CD, because dancing in the shower is the best thing ever, no lie. How can you go wrong? If you'd like to take a listen, click here to download a free copy of their EP. Don't worry, they are giving it away for free (and asked me to pimp it out)!
Also, check out The Letdown on their myspace. Tell me what you think of their music! I'd love to share your thoughts with Chris or Sean P (who apparently likes randomly emailing me)!
Ahaha, also there may or may not be video in existence of me dancing quite enthusiastically with Sean P. Say hello to Sean P.
If you want more of this story, or related ones, ask away. I'm full of interesting band interaction stories. You have NO IDEA.
PS - last call for Spencerific holiday cards. I'm mailing them SOON! If you want one and haven't told me, then please do so now!
