But I have substantial things to post about...so here I be. :P
Mom, William and I went to the imaging center today. (I'm officially 17 weeks, 5 days along, just FYI, for those of you who are trying to keep track.) At the imaging center they take you back and do an extensive ultrasound of your baby. They took me back alone first, put me in a gown in a freezing, dark little room, and proceeded to rub cold KY on my belly and snap many many pictures of my baby. I couldn't see much at this point, because the nurse was rushing through, just concentrating on making sure all the necessary parts were in place (heart with 4 chambers, arms, hands, legs, feet, teeny brain, eyes, ear, the whole shebang. Then she brings my mom and William in, and the Radiologist joins us for a few minutes, pointing out the major baby parts to us. The nurse takes over and goes over everything slowly, so that we can see all the little parts of the baby. Seriously, I'm 4 and a half months pregnant, and the baby is a BABY! You know? The little one weighs 7 ounces. Can you even imagine? After the basic ultrasound, she switches gears and shows us some 3D images! CRAZYNESS! Dude, unbelievably cool.
I know I know, y'all are waiting for the good stuff. I warn you, there are large images under the cut. I couldn't be arsed to size them. XD
SPENCER! IT'S A BOY!!!!
It was easier to see in the moving shot, but here's the proof! Itty bitty boy parts!!!
William said he looked like a dinosaur in this one. I was thinking more along the lines of ALIEN! XD We are so crazy, I know. But these are like x-rays, so you can see right through the little man.
This is where things got really cool. 3D images.
Say hello to fetus!Spencer.
Thumbsucking is cool!
I love this one.
VIDEOS OF BABY SPENCER!
KICK KICK KICK!
I'll have more to show you when they get done uploading. I'll post them when they're done. I don't feel like sitting here and waiting for youtube to decide it's finished!
So, what do y'all think? I thought it was crazycoolinsane that I can even pay $16 and take these home. I'm still in awe of the technology involved. I can't wait to go again!
I have my regular baby doctor appointment tomorrow to discuss today's ultrasound with my OB-GYN and just get my general pregnancy checkup.
Yes, I still need to upload my pictures from the Pink Spiders/Good Charlotte concert. This seemed more important for some reason. I'll do them soon, I promise.
I love every single one of you.
I hope you are well.
