Howdy friends! Yes, I'm still alive. Thanks for asking.

I merely assumed that life would slow down when I returned from my little vacay last weekend. Boy was I wrong. Now don't misunderstand, I'm not pulling my hair out or anything, and I'm much happier than I had been the previous few weeks, but I have had little to no time to update my journal, read my flist, and love on all my friends.

I do apologize for my recent absence. I fully intend to catch up with y'all soon. I am off next week (Can I get a HELL YEAH for grown-up spring breaks!), and shall be spending an inordinate amount of time hanging with my eljay friends, reading fics, and commenting like a mad woman. *hopes this makes at least one person happy*

guest_age will be happy to know that I will indeed be sending her beta'd fic back to her within the decade (meaning today probably). ryogrande, You'll be getting yours as well today. I haven't fallen off completely! ♥

There are so many things I want to accomplish: both in my RL and LJ land. I am hoping a week off of work with help me with this. Perhaps I will make a list later. I really should.

Y'all wanna hear about my trip to Canton? I had a blast! It was really nice to get out on the road and just drive for 5 hours. Listening to music, laughing at comedians, hanging with the hubby...so good. We arrived in Canton on Thursday night and had absolutely zilch to do. It was wonderful. We brought the DVD player along so we watched Walk the Line that first night, then proceeded to fall asleep in my clothes. *nice*

We woke up Friday morning at the buttcrack of dawn to head out to Canton (Okay, it wasn't that early, but by vacationing standards it was!). We stay in a little town called Emory, about 20 miles outside of Canton. We get there, park, shop, shop, browse, buy shit, eat, eat some more, browse more...I think you're getting the picture here. This place is amazing! You'll find crafty stuff for those people who are into that, antiques, "garage sale/flea market" type things, swap meet stuff, new gadgets and such that you've never seen before, food, food and more food, pets, livestock, the list just goes on and on. And its HUGE! It is truly impossible to see the entire place in one day. Truly. It is also indoor/outdoor, so we were able to take advantage of the gorgeous weather we had last weekend! We didn't buy much, but we had so much fun. I got a new case for my celly phone and William bought some ammo boxes because he's a boy and apparently needs these things to survive. Friday night we crashed in the room after all-day-shopping, had dinner with the family at the "Y'all Come Back Cafe" (No, I didn't make that up, it's really the name of the restaurant.), then crashed in the room again. We popped Wallace and Gromit into the DVD player and that was it. Woke up Saturday morning and headed out on the road to home. We stopped in a little town called Mineola (we ALWAYS stop here) for fantabulous hamburgers and homemade pies, and then got on the road again. We were home around 6pm Saturday evening.

Now I'm home and having to fall back into the daily grind. It really hasn't been that bad, it's just that I have 101 things to get done, and approximately enough time to accomplish 15 of them. This is true for most everyone, I realize. I'll get there, I just need to be patient.

Start expecting posts and comments from me to grow like wildfire in the near future. I need to get back into the swing of things ASAP!

Tell me what's going on everyone! I feel so out of the loop! *is embarrassed*

I love every one of you so much!
Have a wonderful day!
*hugs ands snogs*

EDIT: Oh yeah, William's best friend backed into my car IN THE DRIVEWAY Sunday night. Nice right? So now my once happy little Scion is dented and scratched and frowning in a most upsetting way (that last part is more me than the car). We need to get an estimate, because Brandon is SO paying for it. ♥
