I H8 HURRICANES
So we're gonna stay here and ride out the bastard also known as Ike in our houses. We are getting everything out of the yards and boarding up the back window at Mom and Dad's house. We have an RV and two large generators, more than 20 extra gallons of gas and lots of other "disaster supplies" on hand.

Girls that are going to Why So Serious opening show tonight....I NEED concert calls and texts and as much love as you can send my way! If anyone needs a ticket to tonight's show let me know. I have 3 tickets at Will Call in my name, just FYI.

I hate that we are staying but at this point it is really too late to try to get on the roads and into the massive trafficy clusterfuck that is the Houston area highway system.

Think happy thoughts. I hope my other friends on the Texas coast are being safe and doing what they can to protect themselves.

Tonight I'll be sitting at home watching the news and wishing this whole thing would hurry the hell up and disappear.

D: yeah we're hunkering down at grannys. moms paranoid that it's turning more north (rita was on the same track and did a dramatic turn north and went up our butts 3 years ago so we're kinda scared of this one lmfao) so we're gonna hunker down. believe me, i'll be sending good thoughts in your direction, that scares me that you're staying for it :(

That sucks! Be safe, babe.

I don't have my ticket yet, so I'll totally give you the $10 or whatever next time I see you! I'd hate for them to go to waste!

At least it's moving faster and didn't really intensify today. Love you, honey. Stay safe. ♥

Traffic actually hasn't been that bad. They're saying that there were some problems at a couple of bottlenecks (it's always stopped dead north of Woodlands Parkway on your way to Conroe...I used to have to sit in it every day on my way to Taverna), but according to the traffic websites, everything was green for most of yesterday.

My offer still stands if you and the baby need a place to hide (I'd say bring the husband, but I know they've got him on a short leash).
